since I'm not up to posting more substantial entries, I stole this from torachan:


1. Summer! Sun! 30 degrees out! (Context: On Saturday I actually turned on the heat in my apartment because it was so cold.) combined with:

2. A flat that's only 20 degrees (!) when I get home in the afternoon. Bless those old buildings.

3. lying on my balcony looking up in the clouds and the big maple tree.

4. having only three weeks of work left!

5. then three and a half weeks of holidays! Which I'll spend biking along the coast of the Baltic Sea, and

6. then almost a year of school! Seriously, I'm actually excited about that, even though it's mostly stuff I don't need for my actual job. School! Learning! This is so awesome to me. *g*

So... I'm happy. how are you?

Got a surprise day off work yesterday due to an all-day power outage, so I got to stay home and knit and mess with cats and rabbits. Finished the shawl I was hoping to get finished this week!

We're in the busiest time of the year and my backup is on her second week off (because her husband died suddenly, so I can't be upset with her about it and it certainly wasn't a planned vacation). So I've been thinking longingly of having time off, and in fact have put in for an afternoon next week and a Friday in August, and I may sneak in another afternoon at some point in the next few weeks. Though not this one (since we got Monday off) and not next week. EtA: And on the knitting, thanks! I mostly post the photos for my own reference so I can keep track of how much progress I have or haven't been making, but I'm glad some others appreciate seeing them.

Pusheen the cat, absolutely adorable. I just went by the icon set I'd grabbed it from and uploaded a couple more, bringing me up to five bouncy squishy Pusheen icons.
